With the PC version release looming so close, Square Enix is now ramping up publicity for Final Fantasy XIV. But instead of showing how awesome the game looks, like in the opening cinematic, they opted to go live action, so you end up with a pretty big cosplay party to promote the game.
Final Fantasy XIV launches for the PC on September 30th, while the PS3 version will have to wait until March 2011.
I don't know if I should be excited about this game. I mean I did play XI back when it first came out for about a year. What's your guys opinions? Will you be getting it?
Nice... I wont be picking up but I'm interested to see how well it does!
ReplyDeleteI might just hire it out...
ReplyDeleteWOW thats crazy, can't wait to try it out. Final Fantasies have been terrible as of late, but hopefully they can make a comeback with this one
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Bluerad
ReplyDeletebut hope is there!
I was very disappointed with the beta. Nothing in it really shined. I couldn't get into it. Though, I've never been truly happy with an mmo since PSO....
ReplyDeletesimply put: amazing :D
ReplyDeleteWoooaaaaaahhh, now this is really cool :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I have never played a final fantasy game, but this one might get me.
ReplyDeletei hope its more like wow than 11 was :D
ReplyDeleteWait, this will be another FF MMORPG, right? Ah man.. I haven't played any FF since IX on me old playstation. Too bad, i like those games and would like to see the future ones (singleplayer that is) on PC
ReplyDeleteYay, final fantasy 14! :o
ReplyDeleteI probably won't get it. I still believe FF7 was the best game
ReplyDeletedamn this looks pretty nice I might have to check it out
ReplyDeleteNice post!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for this game to finally be released.
ReplyDeleteI tried the beta... made a few million gil in a few days crafting. It got old fast... Interesting commercial though.
ReplyDeletei love final fantasy
ReplyDeleteWhile I am interested to see how well this game does, MMOs have never been my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, finally a PC only primary release date. Us PC gamers are too overlooked.
ReplyDeleteI can't way to get my hands on this one!!
ReplyDeleteFFXIVb was a huge disappointment. Everything looked copy and pasted, the gameplay was lackluster, and the whole rest system was an absolute mess.
ReplyDeleteI'll do a review when it's actually fully launched and when I get my new computer.
I have to agree with Sygnus, but nevertheless I'm exited because of the trailer!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I probably won't buy it. But I will hog the copy that one of my friends is sure to buy.
ReplyDeleteVerrry nice.
ReplyDeleteI'll play the trial, that will decide If I buy or not
ReplyDeleteI heard the PC version was implementing this new fatigue system.
ReplyDelete2 hours or so of gameplay then you have to wait a few hours to play again.
Can anyone confirm this?
@anotamoose
ReplyDeleteI was hearing about that too during the beta phase of the game. I don't know if they'll be really implementing it.
Nice.
ReplyDeletenot a fan of the live-action. I'm curious to see how this new Final Fantasy turns out though. 11 didn't look like it did too well against the mmos that were out at the time.
ReplyDeletePerhaps this will do better.
ff is always good!
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty interesting, and I agree with "Bruno H.L"!!!
